The winners list of the marathon lottery for the 2023 Taipei Marathon has been published!

For the marathon category, total entries have been limited to 9,000 individuals. The lottery, which took place between July 20 and August 2, has attracted 10,751 people. After eliminating those with lottery bypass and invitees, the odds of winning is roughly 52-percent.

The Department of Sports pointed out that the lottery drawing was conducted at 10 AM on August 3 under the witness of a lawyer and determined randomly by a computer. The winners will be announced at 10 AM on August 4 on the event’s website. The lucky individuals will also be notified via email.

Additional follow-up – including payment and form completion – will be required from lottery winners. The deadline for payment is 5 PM on August 4. Those who do not submit the payment in time will be regarded as giving up their slot. The wait list will be announced on August 10, and wait-listed individuals will also receive email notification.

As a reminder, registration for the half-marathon event will be open to the public starting 2 PM on August 15. Positions are limited (19,000 openings) and claimed on a first-come-first-served basis.
