Robot Battle Tournament Takes Place at Bade IT Commercial District
During his speech, Chiang expressed his gratitude to the businesses in the commercial district for working with the government throughout the pandemic period. After renovations and planning, the Bade Commercial District is ready to provide services to gamers across Taiwan and abroad once again. The mayor remarked that he is very happy to visit Bade Commercial District, as the area is a place known for a great shopping destination for 3C products, computer hardware, and video games. As a person who enjoys 3C products, he would often come here to purchase laptops and tablets. He is also very glad that the Bade IT Commercial District is partnering with city hall to hold the two-day-long activity. There are fun games, great food, and numerous videogames and esports events at the site, and he calls upon young people to come here to get to know people and take part in competitions. Regarding visions for the future, the mayor promised to continue working with local businesses to plan projects aimed at attracting tourists from around the world in the post-pandemic era. Currently, the Bade IT Commercial District falls under the category of IT Industry Zone with a three-stage development plan. The first stage is Guanghua Digital Plaza, followed by SYNTREND Creative Park for stage 2. The final stage of development spotlights the TransGlobe Life Hope Park. Given its close vicinity to the Huashan 1914 Creative Park, visitors can enjoy both top IT products and cultural activities without having to travel too far.
Mayor Chiang Wan-an enjoyed an opportunity to control a mini robot during a bout at a special closed-street event featuring robot tournament at the Bade Commercial District on July 22. He also presented the trophy to the top three winners of the competition.
