The Taipei Children’s Amusement Park has just announced a series of events and campaigns celebrating the Moon Festival! In addition to holiday starlight tickets, there will be a Moon Festival Barbecue Party at the outdoor plaza in the evening of September 29, as well as Baby and Toddler Sports Day event from September 29 through October 1!
Both events require reservations. To sign up, please click on the facility’s Chinese website (https://reurl.cc/2L58Dv). Registration will be accepted starting 10 AM on August 31.
During the Moon Festival long weekend (September 29 and 30), the facility will extend its hours to 9 PM. The starlight ticket, which goes on sale at 4 PM, will be available at the affordable price of NT$120! Despite the late availability, this ticket still provides ticket holders with unlimited access to the 13 major attractions at the park. The closing hour of the park reverts to 6 PM on October 1.
The Baby and Toddler Sports Day is open to the public and contenders can sign up for free (though online registration is required). There are two categories of competition which is based on the age of the participating kid. The baby crawling race is for children between the age of 6 months and 14 months, while the toddler run is for toddlers between the age of 15 months and 24 months. The kids will have to move baby formula cans and diapers to the finishing line.
The competitions are slated for September 29 through October 1, with each session limited to 60 contenders. Those who compete in the race will receive two Maokong Gondola one-day tickets and prizes worth over NT$1,000 in value. The top three winners will also bring home extra, large-size prizes!
The Moon Festival Barbecue Party will take place between 4 PM and 9 PM on September 29. A total of 50 barbecue sets for families will be available at a price of NT$2,999 per set. Sign-up and payment are handled via TCAP’s website.
